Base Location: Glasgow or Perth Salary: ยฃ66,100 - ยฃ99,100 (subject to experience) + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family. Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role We are looking for a Lead Procurement and Commercial Manager to support SSE Renewables Offshore Development team to deliver our Berwick Bank Phase B project. We are looking for candidates who have pre and post contract experience of high value and complex offshore wind contracts.

Responsibilities Develop and deliver strategic procurement solutions for offshore wind, aligning commercial outcomes with SSE's long-term objectives and value commitments Build and manage high-value supplier partnerships, driving performance, accountability, and mutual commercial success Lead, coach, and empower a high-performing team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous development Own end-to-end commercial activities, including contract negotiation, optimisation of terms, and proactive risk management to protect value Drive cost competitiveness and value creation, identifying efficiencies and strengthening commercial performance across procurement activities Collaborate with key stakeholders and project teams, using data-led insights to inform decisions, optimise delivery, and support successful project outcomes Qualifications An understanding of offshore wind markets, contracting models, regional dynamics, commodities, and service requirements, supporting the development of robust early stage business cases through to the delivery of fully negotiated contracts at construction. Procurement or Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent direct entry to recognised appropriate professional body preferred. Experience in a similar role where you were responsible for leading a team, procuring, and managing highly complex contracts, managing suppliers and sub-contractors, and supplier vetting, development, and management.

Understanding of supply chain concepts and how to improve them. Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential, as is the ability to influence, lead and resolve disputes and problem solve. Benefits Enjoy discounts on private healthcare and gym memberships.
