About the Company
Davidson is partnering with a leading organisation within the financial services sector to appoint an experienced Process Engineer for a major technology and automation transformation. This organisation is investing heavily in modernising its operating model, improving adviser and customer experiences, and introducing scalable automation and AI-enabled capabilities across its business.
About the Role
The Process Engineer will be responsible for defining, maintaining and optimising current-state and future-state business processes across a large-scale advice technology environment. The role will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, subject matter experts and engineering teams to identify opportunities for simplification, standardisation, workflow automation and AI-assisted decision-making. Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing end-to-end future-state processes aligned with the target operating model
- Identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, manual effort and opportunities for automation
- Challenging existing processes and assumptions to improve operational and customer outcomes
- Shaping opportunities for AI-enabled workflows, orchestration and assisted decision-making
- Partnering with AI Engineers, Automation Engineers and technology teams to translate process designs into practical solutions
- Defining business rules, controls, decision points, exception handling and performance measures
- Supporting requirements development, user stories, testing, business readiness and solution validation
- Assessing process designs against benefit realisation, operational effectiveness and delivery readiness
- Identifying process-related risks, dependencies and constraints
About You
The successful candidate will bring strong experience across process design, business analysis, transformation or continuous improvement within a complex and regulated environment.
You will have:
- Extensive experience in process design, business analysis, process improvement or transformation delivery
- Proven experience mapping current-state and designing future-state processes
- Strong understanding of end-to-end process design, operating models, business rules, controls, decision points and exception management
- Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities for simplification, standardisation, workflow automation, orchestration and AI-enabled process improvement
- Experience working with Business Analysts, Product Owners, subject matter experts, engineers and delivery teams
- Strong systems thinking, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience using process and delivery tools such as BPMN, Visio, Miro, Jira and Confluence
- A sound understanding of Agile delivery environments
- Experience within financial services, wealth, advice or superannuation is a must
- Experience designing processes that incorporate AI-assisted decision-making, workflow orchestration, automation platforms or digital operating models.
