Our Cardiff-based Semiconductor client has a new opportunity for a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer to join them. This role has a current requirement of 3 days a week in the office. This is an exciting opportunity to have a foundational role in a brand-new chip team and really shape and drive this new company.
Working together with experienced digital IC design and system engineers, the Principal Analog IC Design Engineer will lead the definition and development of analog and mixed-signal IC flows through to tapeout. The Analog design expert will build real silicon, and have the fulfilment of sharing their expertise with the next generation of junior engineers within the business. Requirements Proven expertise in analog IC design, with a strong track record across one or more domains (e.g. data converters, power management, RF, or mixed-signal systems) Demonstrated experience taking designs through full tape-out and silicon validation Deep understanding of analog fundamentals (noise, stability, matching, layout-aware design, etc.) Experience working across the full IC development lifecycle, from specification to production Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical direction A great team spirit and interest to work within a start-up Nice to have Experience with high-speed analog or high-frequency design On offer is a competitive basic salary, annual bonus, company share options, plus generous pension scheme.
