Pricing Analyst

Overview

In this role you support and enhance pricing decisions for Sompo’s Continental Europe Corporate Insurance portfolio. You’ll blend actuarial insight with analytics to steer profitability and risk understanding, working with cross-functional teams to align assumptions and portfolio views. Expect involvement in tooling, dashboards, and data-driven insights to strengthen underwriting performance.

This is a growth-focused, collaborative opportunity in a dynamic pricing function.

Responsibilities

• Support case pricing activities across Corporate and Specialty lines
• Analyze exposure and claims data to derive pricing assumptions and insights
• Contribute to pricing tool and methodology development
• Perform portfolio monitoring, including A vs E analysis and performance reporting
• Support dashboard development and MIS reporting through data manipulation
• Assist MGA onboarding and delegated authority pricing reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical assumptions and portfolio views

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics or related quantitative discipline
• 0-3 years of actuarial, analytical, or data-focused experience
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities
• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of R, Python, SQL, or Power BI is highly valued
• Ability to work with large datasets and interpret results in a business context
• Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach
• Effective communication and collaborative mindset
