About the Opportunity

A specialized outpatient healthcare clinic in the Bronx, NY, is seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner to join their dedicated podiatric and lower-extremity care team. This full-time, direct-hire opportunity focuses on outpatient foot and ankle care, diabetic foot management, and wound care in a highly collaborative environment alongside experienced Podiatrists (DPMs) and vascular specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform focused clinical evaluations and management for podiatric conditions, lower-extremity wounds, and diabetic foot care.
• Conduct routine foot care, debridement, and conservative wound management under established clinical protocols.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic imaging (X-rays, vascular studies) and laboratory tests.
• Formulate comprehensive treatment plans, including patient education on foot hygiene, proper footwear, and diabetes self-management.
• Collaborate closely with attending DPMs, primary care physicians, and vascular surgeons for multidisciplinary care coordination.
• Maintain prompt and thorough clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications

• Master s Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
• Active, unencumbered New York State Nurse Practitioner License (FNP, AGNP, or related specialty).
• Board Certification (AANP or ANCC).
• Active New York DEA registration.
• Prior clinical experience or training in wound care, podiatry, orthopedics, or outpatient surgical subspecialties is highly desirable (certified wound care specialists / WCC/CWCN a major plus).
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly preferred for patient interaction in this community.
