Core Responsibilities- Transformation Insights & Executive Reporting
- Data-Driven Storytelling: Transform complex project data into high-level executive reports that highlight progress, budget health, and strategic alignment.
- Actionable Analysis: Move beyond "red/amber/green" status updates to provide deep-dive insights that help leadership make informed decisions.
- Strategic Pipeline Management
- Resource Optimization: Lead rigorous pipeline reviews with Initiative Owners (IOs) to ensure talent and capital are allocated to the highest-priority work.
- Portfolio Balance: Maintain a balanced mix of "run," "grow," and "transform" initiatives, ensuring the organization isn't over-leveraged in any one area.
- Delivery Assurance & Performance
- Quarterly/Half-Year Reviews: Lead formal performance audits for all initiatives scheduled for delivery, ensuring they meet strict quality and timeline standards.
- Bottleneck Identification: Proactively identify dependencies and friction points across workstreams, facilitating cross-functional solutions to keep delivery on pace.
- Risk Governance & Mitigation
- L2 Risk Orchestration: Own the Level 2 (L2) risk log, chairing monthly reviews to ensure every threat has a robust, proactive mitigation strategy.
- Escalation Management: Act as the primary filter for risk, escalating critical threats to senior leadership with clear recommendations for resolution.
- Portfolio Management Excellence
- Methodology Champion: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for transformation best practices, coaching project leads on standardized methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate PMO processes and tools to drive efficiency, automation, and better user adoption across the business.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a PMO or Project Management leadership role, ideally within a large-scale transformation environment.
- Ability to see the "big picture" while maintaining a rigorous eye for detail in risk logs and financial reports.
- Proven ability to influence and challenge senior Initiative Owners and Executive stakeholders.
