Platform Admin (SAS)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years experience as a SAS Platform Administrator supporting enterprise SAS 9.xenvironments (preferably SAS 9.4).
• In-depth understanding of multi-tier SAS architecture including metadata, application,web, and compute servers.
• Strong expertise with SAS Management Console and metadata administration.
• Good Linux / RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration skills.
• Detailed knowledge of SAS platform security, performance tuning, backup, recovery,and storage management.
• Experience implementing monitoring solutions to meet platform SLAs.
• Understanding of data centre infrastructure including storage, virtualisation, andnetworking.
• Familiarity with Base SAS and Macro programming.
• Proficiency with Linux shell scripting.
• Experience integrating SAS with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL,Hadoop, Redshift, or SPDS.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
