Salary Range:


$52,700 – $112,200 , commensurate with experience, certifications, and advanced degrees, in accordance with the salary guide

Position Summary:


Bogota Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated New Jersey-certified Physics Teacher to join our high school science department. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that promotes scientific reasoning, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning while supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.

Qualifications:



  • Valid New Jersey Teacher Certification in Physics (Standard or CE/CEAS)

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for Science

  • Experience implementing inquiry-based, hands-on, and phenomenon-based instruction

  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families

  • Commitment to equity, differentiation, and meeting the needs of diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:



  • Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous physics instruction aligned to the NJSLS

  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including laboratory investigations and real-world applications

  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs and English Language Learners

  • Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instruction

  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Collaborate with the science department on curriculum development and vertical alignment

  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school-based initiatives

  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding student progress
