An overnight opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician specializing in IV/Inpatient care. This contract role spans approximately 13 weeks and requires dedication to providing expert pharmaceutical support in a fast-paced hospital environment. Location: Austin, TX Job Type: Contract Shift: Overnight 7 on / 7 off, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM Duration: 13 weeks, starting March 9 Key Responsibilities: Prepare and compound sterile intravenous medications in compliance with established protocols Ensure accuracy and safety in the dispensing of pediatric medications Collaborate closely with pharmacy and clinical staff to support inpatient pharmaceutical needs Utilize EPIC system effectively to manage medication records and orders Qualifications and Desired Experience: Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT) license from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (required) IV certification mandatory, with at least 2 years' hospital pharmacy technician experience Pediatric pharmacy experience preferred CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is a plus Completion of 40 hours of sterile compounding training accredited by ACPE or ASHP highly preferred Proficient with EPIC electronic health record system Benefits and Perks: Competitive compensation for overnight shift work Opportunity to work in a specialized pediatric hospital setting Gain valuable experience with IV sterile compounding and advanced pharmacy technology Candidates interested in applying must prepare the following for submission: an updated resume noting any employment gaps exceeding 30 days, a completed skills checklist, at least one reference from an IV/inpatient manager, copies of TX pharmacy technician license, PTCB certification, and sterile compounding certificates, as well as DOB and the last four digits of SSN.
