Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Castlewood, South Dakota

A pharmacy contract opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to support a retail and long-term care setting. This role will oversee the dispensing of medications and provide expert guidance to patients on proper medication use, ensuring the highest standards of customer service. Location: Watertown, SD Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Duration: 8 to 13 weeks, with potential extension Type: Contract Key Responsibilities: Accurately distribute medications as prescribed by physicians and healthcare providers Educate customers on medication uses, side effects, and proper administration Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies Manage daily pharmacy operations, including inventory control and staff supervision Deliver exceptional patient care and address any medication-related concerns Qualifications & Desired Experience: Current and active SD Pharmacist license Experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred Strong knowledge of prescription processing and pharmacy management Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to oversee and coordinate pharmacy functions effectively This contract position provides an opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic pharmacy environment while potentially extending your engagement beyond the initial duration.
