At GN, we believe great employee experiences begin with a solid foundation. Payroll plays a vital role in the employee journey, and we are looking for a Payroll Manager who brings accuracy, compliance, and high‑quality service together with a commitment to ongoing process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll, wage, tax, and employment‑related requirements across countries within your area of responsibility.
  • Oversee payroll operations managed by external vendors and service providers, ensuring consistent service quality and effective partnerships.
  • Monitor payroll controls, reconciliations, and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the correct taxation of employee benefits, allowances, and international assignments where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain payroll documentation, procedures, and governance standards.
  • Prepare and deliver payroll‑related financial and operational reports.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits by providing required documentation and supporting information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Accounts Payable, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless end‑to‑end processes.
  • Manage team resources, workload distribution, and capability development to ensure operational excellence.
  • Support and guide team members while building a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Hold a degree within Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Have experience managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regulatory environments.
  • Understand payroll legislation, taxation, compliance requirements, and payroll best practices.
  • Have experience working with external payroll providers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Are comfortable working within multinational organizations, shared service centers, or global business services environments.
  • Bring well‑developed analytical skills and a genuine focus on improving workflows and efficiency.
  • Have experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics365 or similar platforms.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
  • Bring a detail‑oriented mindset and follow an organized approach in your work.
  • Enjoy leading, supporting, and developing people and teams.
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
