Job Description Job Description The Opportunity Description What You’ll Do Ensure accurate and timely filing of all monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns, including W-2s and W-2c corrections Perform end-to-end reconciliations of payroll tax data across systems and third-party vendors; investigate and resolve discrepancies Reconcile quarterly Form 941 filings to W-2 totals and validate wage and tax balances across multiple entities Analyze and resolve complex payroll tax matters, including multi-state taxation, employee mobility, reciprocal agreements, stock compensation, and fringe benefits Review daily tax filings submitted to third-party vendors and address discrepancies proactively Conduct regular audits of gross-to-taxable wage calculations to ensure compliance and accuracy Manage and resolve tax notices in partnership with third-party vendors—identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures Serve as a subject matter expert by responding to payroll tax inquiries from employees, agencies, and internal stakeholders Lead W-2 correction processes, including preparation, review, and distribution of W-2c forms Review and test system updates (e.g., Workday), ensuring compliance with evolving tax regulations and communicating changes to stakeholders Partner closely with Payroll and HR to ensure accurate state and local tax setup, particularly for multi-state employees Maintain unemployment tax rates and ensure timely updates with third-party vendors Register for new state and local tax accounts as business needs evolve Prepare and file tax returns not handled by third-party providers, including specialized government reporting Review third-party sick pay reporting for compliance and accuracy Continuously improve payroll tax processes through documentation, standardization, and automation initiatives Stay current on federal, state, and local tax laws and advise leadership on compliance requirements and risks Experience Required for Your Success What You Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of payroll tax experience in a multi-state, multi-entity environment supporting a large and/or remote workforce Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and wage compliance requirements Proven experience with payroll tax reconciliations (monthly, quarterly, and annual) Solid understanding of fringe benefit taxation and equity compensation (e.g., RSUs, non-qualified stock options) Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, PivotTables) or similar tools Ability to navigate ambiguity, analyze complex datasets, and implement practical solutions Strong communication and stakeholder management skills High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Preferred Qualifications: FPC or CPP certification Experience with Workday and/or ADP payroll systems Exposure to global payroll, including UK, EU, or Israel Experience supporting expatriate and inpat payroll tax scenarios Benefits : Medical, Dental, & Vision InsurancePlans Company Description Diversity is our legacy, our today, and our tomorrow.
