PAYROLL MANAGER FULL-TIME MARKHAM, ON Our client is an established organization in financial services with a growing team of experts in their space. They’re looking for a payroll expert to join their team with an opportunity perfect for an individual who is detail-oriented, proactive, and takes pride in their work. The Job! This is a true ownership role. As Payroll Manager, you are the subject matter expert - the person the organization relies on to keep payroll running accurately and efficiently across all divisions and subsidiaries from coast to coast.
Reporting directly to the SVP of Human Resources, you'll have visibility across the full function and a mandate to not just maintain the status quo, but improve it. If you're someone who takes pride in running a clean, compliant payroll operation and gets energized by finding smarter ways to do things, this role is worth a look. Full-cycle semi-monthly payroll for a multi-entity, multi-provincial organization (Ontario and Quebec essential) Ceridian Dayforce - processing, reporting, and systems development Pension Plan administration including contributions and enrolments Benefits administration - enrolments, changes, and terminations Bonus processing (semi-annual), ROEs, special payments, and vacation tracking Month-end and year-end reporting, journal entries, and source deductions Payroll reconciliation and balancing across divisions Cross-functional collaboration with Finance and HR Regulatory compliance and direct communication with CRA and external agencies Process improvement - you're expected to identify gaps and lead solutions What you bring to the job 7+ years of Canadian payroll experience, ideally within a multi-entity environment PCP designation (active CPA membership required) Hands-on Ceridian Dayforce experience Multi-provincial payroll experience with Ontario and Quebec required Pension and benefits administration experience Sharp analytical skills and an instinct for accuracy Discretion with confidential information — you understand what's at stake A service mindset - employees and colleagues rely on you and you take that seriously Post-secondary education in a relevant field Company Perks and Rewards Base salary ranging from $90,000 - $100,000 Great benefits package 3 weeks’ vacation Smart, collaborative team Hybrid work model (2 days in office) We really look forward to hearing from you, but please understand that we will only be contacting those that are applicable for the role!
