Patient Services Representative-CWP Gastroenterology

Overview

The Patient Services Representative coordinates and participates in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, patient identification, patient check in, cash management and basic patient appointment scheduling. Conveys a positive image and provides information to ensure patients' needs are met and they have a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

v Greet patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner. v Check patients in and out verify necessary information and record in the medical record. v Assemble and prepare patient's charts. v Schedule patient appointments including re-scheduling appointments when necessary. v Scan information and documents into patient file. v Collect payments for services post to patient account. v Answer phones retrieve and respond to patient voicemails. v Maintain an accurate cash drawer including end-of-day balancing, inventory and balance sheet. v Data entry including patient demographics, insurance, miscellaneous notes, payments and other related information. v May process end-of-day batching for billing and accounting departments. v Perform routine office tasks including filing, faxing and scanning. v Regular and reliable attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. Greet and check in patients in a friendly manner.

Collect co-payments and verify insurance coverage. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Prepare new patient charts neatly and accurately.

Various office duties as assigned by Office Manager. Responding to patient billing or financial inquiries, directing to appropriate departments, as necessary. Collect and post payments and record receipts.

Balance nightly deposits and complete credit card processing.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.67per hour - $28.63per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
