Position: Patient Care Technician Location: Portland, OR 97211 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:30) Specialty: Patient Care Technician Description: - Patient Care Technician - Portland OR - Start Date: ASAP - Shift: 5 x 8hr; Wednesday - Sunday EVEs - Ratios: 1:15-25 - Years of Experience REQ: 1 year of prior experience working with seniors required - First-Timers Accepted: No - Weekend REQ: Every weekend - Certs REQ: BCLS - Is On-Call REQ?: No - Will this traveler need to float between like units?: No - Open to accommodating block schedule?: Yes - Locals Accepted: Yes; Considered "local" within 50 mile radius, will accept locals at the same rate - Pending License Accepted: *No License is required for this role* - RTO Restrictions: Confirm with hiring manager - Guaranteed Hours: 40 (per contract) Special Requirements: - Traveler is expected to have reliable transportation and no additional scheduling restrictions. All travel pairs will be required to have their own transportation. - QuickMAR experience preferred but not required Daily Responsibilities: - Assists as needed in providing or assisting geriatric participants/residents with personal care including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming with minimal support and supervision. - Schedules and coordinates tasks to be performed by other PCTs, in cooperation with other housing and clinic staff. - Participates in participant/resident orientation to the ElderPlace facility - Provides input and information for service/care plans Hospital Highlights: - Type of Facility: Long Term Care / Assisted Living - Attire: Any color of scrubs - Charting: Net Solutions - Parking Cost: Free - Mileage Reimbursement: IRS Standard.
