Job Summary Are you an experienced Paediatric Staff Nurse or a newly qualified Staff Nurse who is committed to delivering outstanding patient care to children, young people and their families? If your answer is YES, we want you to come and join our team on the Treehouse Children's Unit at Stepping Hill Hospital. The Treehouse Unit is a 20-bed acute paediatric ward with 8 paediatric assessment beds, a surgical ‘Walk In Walk Out’ service and 2 HDU beds.

You will be supported by a fabulous team and our Paediatric Clinical Nurse Educators who will develop your personalised development plan, including senior band 5 training days, an HDU course and an APLS course. Main Duties and Responsibilities Assess and plan individualised care programmes, implement and evaluate them to meet patients’ needs. Work in partnership with relatives, carers and multidisciplinary staff to improve standards of patient care.

Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with confidentiality requirements. Uphold the Trust’s dignity, respect and clinical guidelines, ensuring nursing care is appropriate and consistent. Use professional judgement to analyse patient conditions and act appropriately.

Demonstrate high standards of patient care through personal example and professional conduct. Promote safeguarding of vulnerable patients in line with national and local policy. Person Specification Essential Current 1st‑level UK registration (RSCN or RN(child)).

Computer literacy. Experience of working in paediatric clinical areas and delivering paediatric patient care. Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).

Positive working relationship with multidisciplinary teams. Desirable Preparation for Mentorship certificate or experience as a student assessor/supervisor. Relevant post‑registration course appropriate to the clinical area.
