Job Description

We are seeking an Optimization Engineer II to support production performance and engineering workflows across the asset lifecycle—from development through operations. This role is highly focused on Product Data Management (PDM) administration and workflow coordination, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering, design, and supply chain teams. Key Responsibilities Support safe and efficient production delivery across the proved developed asset base Optimize production and injection systems across project stages Monitor and improve daily system performance across facilities Identify and evaluate debottlenecking opportunities Contribute to a pipeline of optimization initiatives ("options hopper") Promote a strong safety culture aligned with company standards PDM Administration & Workflow Coordination (Core Focus) Administer and maintain product data management (PDM) systems (e.g., PDM Enterprise) Manage engineering data, design releases, and revision control processes Coordinate workflows between engineering/design and supply chain teams Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of engineering data Identify and implement improvements to workflow efficiency and system usage Support structured engineering processes across product development cycles Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (relevant discipline) Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience Experience in: PDM systems / engineering databases (e.g., PDM Enterprise or similar) Engineering design and structured workflows Production optimization or production engineering Experience in subsurface or downhole tool design is an asset Strong understanding of engineering standards, codes, and safety practices Experience with planning, modeling, validation, or production/logistics tools Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Excellent communication skills in English (technical and business) Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Detail-oriented with a practical, solutions-focused mindset Collaborative team player with strong cross-functional coordination skills What We Offer Brunel connects specialists like you with world-class opportunities across the globe.
