Operations Quality Engineer

Job Details Permanent Operations Quality Engineer at Farnell, an Avnet company, located at Logic Industrial Park, Leeds. The role focuses on developing, enhancing, and administering quality standards across the distribution centre. Responsibilities Maintaining relationships with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and external certification/regulatory representatives.

Managing and supporting the operational implementation of programs to establish and maintain quality standards of warehousing services and develop programs to focus employees on quality improvement. Developing policies, procedures, and methods to check operational quality and improve it. Supporting the planning, facilitation, and execution of internal, customer, supplier, or external certification audits.

Ensuring corrective actions to non‑conformance and audit results are robust and sustained to maintain KPIs and certifications. Overseeing collection and analysis of data from internal quality audits and customer and supplier feedback. Supporting decisions that impact work processes and outcomes, with a focus on preventing serious delays and additional resource expenditure.

Qualifications Proven experience in developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems and undertaking internal audits to ISO9001:2015 (AS/EN9120:2018 desirable). Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Continual Improvement Techniques and Processes (Lean/Six Sigma desirable). Knowledge and understanding of PowerBI are desirable.
