Event Operations Manager Major League Catering Toronto, ON Full-time Salary: $70,000 per year + special show day rates + benefits Major League Catering is hiring an Event Operations Manager to help lead and execute high-level catering and hospitality operations across concerts, tours, backstage environments, corporate events, and special events. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves music, hospitality, and production, and knows how to keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes. You should be someone who is equally comfortable building a staffing plan, solving last-minute problems onsite, communicating with tour or venue contacts, and jumping in wherever needed to make the show run properly.
What Youβll Do Lead event operations planning and execution for concerts, backstage catering, tours, and hospitality events Coordinate staffing, logistics, timelines, rentals, and vendor communication Manage onsite event execution, troubleshoot issues in real time, and maintain service standards Work closely with production teams, tour managers, artist teams, venue contacts, and internal staff Support set ups, service, rider execution, backstage hospitality, and manage load out Prepare staffing plans, assignments, and event logistics Track labour, staffing efficiency, and event readiness Complete end-of-service reports and post-event follow-up Help create a polished, organized, and professional experience for both clients and crews Be highly present and hands-on during live events What Weβre Looking For Experience in event operations, catering, hospitality, live events, or production Strong organizational and leadership skills Confidence managing teams in fast-moving, high-pressure environments Excellent communication skills with both staff and client-facing contacts Ability to solve problems quickly and stay calm under pressure Strong attention to detail and follow-through Comfortable working backstage and around artists, tours, venues, and production teams Flexible schedule and willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and long show days when required Someone who genuinely loves music, catering, hospitality, and live event culture Compensation $72,000 annual salary Special show day rates Some Benefits included Growth opportunity within a growing catering and hospitality company
