Operations Manager - Distribution & Business Improvement

Daly Industrial Supply Company Ltd is a long-established and growing Irish sales and distribution business supplying professional tools, equipment and services across Ireland.
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Operations Manager to lead and improve our day-to-day operations while helping prepare the business for continued growth.
The Role
The Operations Manager will oversee key operational areas including warehousing and distribution, stock control, trade counter activities, service/workshop operations, Health & Safety and operational teams.
A key focus of the role will be improving efficiency, strengthening processes and introducing better systems, technology and automation across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop operational teams and supervisors
- Manage day-to-day operational performance
- Improve warehouse, stock and distribution processes
- Drive continuous improvement across systems and procedures
- Develop and monitor operational KPIs
- Lead IT, systems and automation improvement projects
- Maintain strong Health & Safety standards
- Support operational budgeting, planning and resource management
- Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Finance and senior management
- Contribute to wider business planning and strategic initiatives
About You
You will ideally have:
- Experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, stock or service-based operations
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
- Commercial awareness and experience working with budgets and KPIs
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Confidence working with business systems and technology
- Experience within industrial supplies, construction equipment, power tools, engineering or trade distribution would be an advantage but is not essential.
