Job Description

Operations Associate

Embark on an exciting career journey with Optima, recognized as one of the 1000 fastest-growing companies in Europe. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Operations Associate to join our vibrant team.

About Us:

At Optima, we've had a front row seat to the fundamental changes of this industry we know and love. Whether it's a move from third-party data to first-party data, being ahead of the curve in programmatic, and preparing for a new cookieless world, we pride ourselves in removing the hassle. Our publishers can count on revenue streams that are optimized and predictable, so they can continue doing what they do best: inform and entertain global consumers.

Job Description

As an Operations Associate, you'll be at the heart of our publisher operations: onboarding new publishers, monitoring performance across our portfolio, and making sure our data β€” and the decisions built on it β€” can be trusted.

This is a high-ownership role with direct impact on revenue. You'll work daily with our Business Development, Operations, and Data teams, and you'll build deep expertise in the programmatic supply chain (SSPs, DSPs, header bidding, ads.txt) from day one. It's an ideal entry point for someone who wants to build a career in ad tech.

Responsibilities:

Publisher onboarding & technical integration

Own the creation and ongoing maintenance of ads.txt / app-ads.txt files for each publisher, aligned with their demand stack and DSP requirements

Support technical setup of new publishers: ad tags, header bidding configuration, and QA before go-live

Account operations

Assist the Business Development team with new-publisher onboarding and keep the new-business pipeline data accurate and up to date in our CRM

Support adoption of our sales tools and processes across the region

Performance monitoring & optimization

Monitor daily performance across multiple publishers (impressions, fill rate, CPM, CTR, viewability, revenue) against targets

Identify underperformance early, diagnose root causes, and make or recommend adjustments to improve results

Troubleshoot delivery and discrepancy issues with internal teams and external partners

Data quality & reporting

Audit our internal dashboards regularly to ensure data accuracy and completeness; escalate anomalies quickly

Produce clear, accurate performance reports for publishers and internal stakeholders

Surface insights and trends that inform commercial and product decisions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong interest and knowledge of the ad-tech universe.

Proficiency with office productivity tools; ability to quickly adapt to new software and systems.

Experience working with publishers is required; experience at a demand-side partner or other demand-side company is a strong plus.

Proficiency in ad serving platforms.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding company and employee information.

Strong analytical skills, identify trends and make data-driven decisions.

Fluent in English.

Benefits:

Hybrid work model from our Barcelona office. (3 days at the office / 2 days remote)

Remote working during August.

Real ownership from week one, with structured onboarding and mentorship from senior operators.

A clear growth path.

Front-row exposure to a fast-scaling company working with leading publishers.

Paid team lunch every week.
