Your new company An established and highly regarded construction business is seeking an experienced Office Manager to take ownership of day-to-day business operations and provide critical support across administration, finance, people, and project functions.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with senior leadership, helping to ensure the smooth running of the office while supporting the continued growth of the business.

Your new role As the Office Manager, you will oversee all administrative functions while acting as the key point of coordination between internal teams, contractors, clients, and suppliers. You will play an important role in maintaining operational efficiency, improving processes, and supporting the wider business as it continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office
  • Manage office administration, systems, and procedures
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Coordinate invoicing, purchase orders, and supplier documentation
  • Maintain employee records, onboarding, and compliance documentation
  • Assist with payroll processing and timesheet management
  • Support project teams with administration and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and company events
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and business correspondence
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the business

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in an Office Manager, Administration Manager, or Operations Support role
  • Experience working within construction, trades, engineering, property, or a similar industry
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Confidence managing competing priorities in a busy environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with finance administration, payroll, or bookkeeping processes highly regarded
  • A proactive, adaptable, and team-focused approach
