Seasonal HR/Office Assistant (Bilingual — English/Spanish)
The Group is a rapidly growing, multi-concept restaurant group. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and organized HR Office Assistant to support our New York team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in building a career in Human Resources or restaurant operations. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
This is a full-time seasonal position with the potential to transition into a permanent part-time role based on performance and business needs.
Location: In-office. New York, NY
Language Requirement: Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.
About the Role
The HR Office Assistant handles a variety of office and administrative support tasks in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion with confidential information, and a proactive approach to improving how work gets done.
Essential Functions
- Respond to internal and external inquiries and requests
- Support employee onboarding and assist with documentation related to compensation and benefits
- Compile and maintain paper, digital, and electronic records
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, new hire orientations, and shipping
- Support HR, operations, and accounting programs
- Prepare and submit reports on HR, operations, and accounting activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the HR Manager and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); comfortable learning new systems and applications
- Ability to accurately enter and access information in a moderately complex computer system
- Basic math skills, including calculating percentages
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear, effective written and verbal communication
- Professional presentation and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- Availability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
