Job Description

Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP Preferred) Location: Mansfield, Ohio Job Type: Full-Time Work Setting: On-Site Position Summary: Talbot Health Services is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services at our Mansfield location. This role focuses on managing patients with co-occurring mental health and addiction diagnoses in an outpatient and/or residential setting. Candidates must have direct experience in both psychiatric care and SUD treatment.

PMHNP certification is strongly preferred. What You Will Do: Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and ongoing medication management for adults with mental health and substance use disorders; prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with Ohio law; deliver and oversee Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) including buprenorphine-based therapies; collaborate with counselors, nursing, and case management to support integrated care; complete timely, accurate documentation in the EHR to meet Medicaid, OhioMHAS, and accreditation standards; participate in case conferences, utilization review, and clinical team meetings; monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans accordingly; maintain compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all applicable regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications: Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority; active DEA registration; minimum of one year of experience in both psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment settings; strong working knowledge of co-occurring disorders and psychopharmacology; ability to work on-site in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Preferred Qualifications: PMHNP-BC certification; experience providing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT); DATA 2000 waiver (X-waiver) or willingness to obtain (if applicable under current federal guidance); prior experience in outpatient or residential behavioral health settings; familiarity with Ohio Medicaid documentation and audit expectations. Compensation: $115,000 to $140,000 annually based on experience, certification, and productivity. Schedule: Monday through Friday with consistent daytime hours. Limited on-call expectations may apply based on program needs.
