Nurse Manager - Operating Room

Harborview Medical Center , Washington State's only Level I adult and pediatric trauma center, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to join our leadership team. Position Highlights Key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring the highest standards of patient care Instrumental in managing performance metrics and key performance indicators including OR utilization, efficiency, timeliness, and turnover times Direct oversight of an Assistant Nurse Manager team that delivers frontline support for surgical service lines, daily operations, and charge nurse functions Work Schedule 100% Day Shift Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate unit programs to meet patient care needs and quality standards Drive and monitor OR performance metrics including utilization, efficiency, timeliness, and turnover times Provide direct oversight of the Assistant Nurse Manager group supporting service lines, operations, and charge nurse functions Select, hire, develop, and supervise unit staff Plan and manage the unit budget effectively Provide leadership to promote professional nursing practice and staff development Participate in decision‑making processes and contribute to the development of policies and programs Coordinate interdepartmental efforts to maintain a safe patient care environment Requirements Current or ability to obtain Washington State RN license (or multistate license) Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher Five or more years of professional operating room nursing experience Two or more years in a management, supervisory, or lead role (Assistant Nurse Manager experience preferred) Experience may be used to substitute for required education Challenge.
