Responsibilities Apply public health science and nursing theory to promote, protect and preserve the health of populations. Deliver services to individuals, families, groups or communities across the life span, including prevention of injuries, chronic and communicable diseases, and environmental health issues. Promote reproductive and sexual health, perinatal health, and health equity by addressing determinants of health.

Work collaboratively within the Population Public Health team and with colleagues in other programs, sectors and organizations; support integration across WRHA and FSCA. Respect diversity and work with populations across ethnicities, cultures, and circumstances, prioritizing client self-determination and empowerment. Experience Six months experience delivering tuberculosis services in a community setting.

Two years of recent nursing experience with demonstrated competency in public health, primary care, population health promotion or community development, or completion of undergraduate practicum with Public Health. Relevant experience may include applying health promotion principles, equity at the population level, and communicable disease control. Education Baccalaureate Nursing Degree required.

Preferred: Public Health capacity-building modules, CCHN(C) or related master-level coursework (e.g., epidemiology). Certification / Licensure / Registration Current CRNM registration required. Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License required.

CPR training as per employer policy. Indicate preferred certifications (IBCLC or related lactation, ISTM) where applicable. Qualifications and Skills RHPA/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act scope of practice.

Ability to lead, work independently and within a professional team. Experience working with diverse populations and community partners. Conflict management, problem-solving, teaching, counseling, and workload organization skills.

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral English communication; computer proficiency. Physical Requirements Ability to perform immunizations, injections, phlebotomy, and clinical assessments. Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs with proper equipment and assistance as needed.

Ability to work in varied community settings and weather conditions; access to reliable vehicle. Subject to immunizations and tuberculin testing per WRHA policy. Note: If no applicants meet posted qualifications, the Employer may consider an applicant who does not meet all posted qualifications.
