Job Description
Position Overview Under the supervision of The Medical Director, GI Lab, and the Program Team Manager Subspecialty Medicine, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Gastroenterology Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care for patients with Gastroenterology disturbances and performing other related duties as required. Experience Three (3) to five (5) years related clinical experience, preferably in Gastroenterology.
Education Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Post-basic course in advanced assessment and nursing skills preferred. Certification / Licensure / Registration Current CRNM registration required.
Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred. Qualifications and Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
