Job Summary Employment Status: Regular. Time Type: Full time. CSA Group is seeking a New Account Manager– Industrial based in Vancouver, BC.
The role serves as the primary customer contact in developing new accounts, closely working with Marketing to identify prospects, nurture leads, and win business with companies that do not currently work with CSA Group. Responsibilities Establish new account relationships to meet personal sales targets, emphasizing the full value chain of CSA Group services. Prospect independently for new customers within the assigned territory using various lead generation and direct solicitation methods.
Define prospecting, quoting and sales targets on a yearly basis. Contact former CSA Group customers to attempt to regain work. Prepare written proposals of cost for services for clients, working with Technical Specialists and Operations staff.
Participate in associations and outside organizations deemed appropriate by management. Establish and maintain a list of contacts based on experience, historic utilization reputation, influence and personal judgment, including supplied contacts and personally developed relationships. Provide periodic written reports on calls, customer contact, proposals, quotes, expenses, travel and trade‑show activities, and oral presentations as required.
Evaluate industry reports, territory databases and external competitive information to develop territory analysis or provide input for presentations and reporting to management. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years Sales experience or equivalent industry experience. Prior experience with sales CRM tracking software a plus.
Proven ability to consistently exceed sales goals. Proven experience dealing with large organizations at senior level. Prior experience with Industrial Equipment and Hazardous Locations Certification preferred.
Skills Create clear, effective and professional written communication and presentations. Ability to create, prepare and execute complex business strategies while organizing multiple projects and job responsibilities. Strong initiative and ability to develop new customer contacts.
Maintain positive contacts within the organization to exchange, explain, and interpret information or ideas and follow up on client requests. Strong organization and time‑management skills. Creativity and project‑management skills to plan for projects, events and conferences.
High level of initiative and motivation to meet or exceed targeted goals with minimal supervision. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM database applications. Ability to prepare cost proposals promptly to meet customers’ needs.
Responsive and pleasant when dealing with external and internal customers, peers and co‑workers. Compensation The typical hiring range for this position in California is $78,000–$102,000, however, based on a variety of considerations such as education, licenses, certifications and/or experience, CSA Group reserves the right to flexibility outside of the stated range.
