Any device configurations, firewalls, etc., will be handled by clients. It’s out of scope for us. AWS has a repeatable framework, so once the devices are ready, our resource will connect via VPN. should already have established protocols that we would follow, along with guidance with AWS.

NOTE: It was specifically said that architecture builds or planning are out of scope. CCIEs would be overkill here. Network Engineer (Mid-Level) – Hybrid Cloud Connectivity Overview We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support customer connectivity and hybrid cloud networking initiatives.

This role will focus on establishing and validating secure connectivity between customer environments and AWS, while partnering closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across VPN technologies, routing protocols, and cloud networking constructs in a fast-paced, migration-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate directly with QAD customers to establish, validate, and support site-to-site VPN connectivity Configure and manage AWS-side networking components including Virtual Private Gateways (VGW) and Transit Gateway (TGW) attachments Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues across VPN tunnels, BGP peering, routing tables, security groups, and prefix lists Support hybrid network architectures including MPLS, AWS Direct Connect, SD-WAN, and multi-homed VPN designs Partner with the PSL Network Team to execute customer-side coordination and ensure alignment with network standards Collaborate with ProServe pre-migration teams to validate network readiness and support migration wave planning and execution Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and secure connectivity across environments Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and customer environments to support operational continuity Required Skills & Experience 3–6 years of experience in network engineering, with exposure to cloud or hybrid environments Strong understanding of VPN technologies (IPSec), BGP routing, and TCP/IP networking fundamentals Hands-on experience with AWS networking services (VPCs, VGW, TGW, routing tables, security constructs) Experience troubleshooting complex connectivity issues across multiple network layers Familiarity with enterprise connectivity solutions including MPLS, Direct Connect, and SD-WAN Ability to work with external customers and internal teams in a coordinated, delivery-focused environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting cloud migration or data center exit initiatives Knowledge of multi-region or multi-account AWS networking architectures Exposure to firewall policies, network segmentation, and security best practices AWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate or Advanced Networking Specialty) What Success Looks Like Reliable and secure customer connectivity established with minimal disruption Efficient troubleshooting and resolution of network issues during migration waves Strong coordination across customer teams and internal stakeholders Clear documentation and repeatable processes supporting scalable delivery MatchPoint Solutions provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
