Job Title: Azure .NET Engineer

Job type: 6 months PAYE contract

Job Location: Dublin/Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Write clean code in C# and .NET Core to build secure cloud native applications ingesting timeseries data via RESTful API and Pub/Sub messaging.
  • Cloud Management: Deploy and manage services on Microsoft Azure, such as Azure Event Hub, Entra ID, AKS, Azure SQL
  • Cloud Native development: design lead on retry and fail, circuit breakers, tracing, rolling upgrades, stateless and service mesh patterns
  • DevOps & Deployment: Improve continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, IAC, Terraform to support shift-left approach to application development
  • AI SLDC: use of copilot and agents to accelerate code create, testing, validation and deployment.
  • Collaboration: Work in Agile/Scrum teams to review code, troubleshoot performance issues, and plan software updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Programming: Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core / .NET Framework with experience with OAuth2.0, SQL, InfluxDB or other timeseries database, MQTT
  • Azure Expertise: Hands-on experience with building cloud native .NET applications and deploying in a Azure cloud environment
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
