Rivercity Access and Scaffold is seeking a Forklift Truck Driver & Ticketed Scaffolder to join our team on a part-time basis with the potential of full-time employment. Our yard is based in Morningside QLD 4170 and is integral to our operations in the road transport and logistics sector. As a Scaffold Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of scaffolding equipment and materials to job sites across the region. This position offers flexibility whilst maintaining a critical contribution to our business success and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain scaffold forklift trucks in accordance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies


• Transport scaffolding equipment and materials safely to designated job sites


• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements


• Adhere to all traffic laws, weight restrictions and load securing requirements


• Load and unload scaffolding materials, ensuring loads are properly secured and balanced


• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any site-specific requirements


• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle usage and hours worked


• Ensure the truck and all equipment remain clean and in good working condition


• Respond promptly to emergency calls or urgent delivery requirements as needed

What we're looking for

• Current, valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's license (or equivalent) with LF ticket


• Proven experience driving large trucks or heavy vehicles, preferably in construction, logistics or transport industries


• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and load securing requirements


• Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Physical fitness and capability to assist with loading and unloading activities


• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach to work


• Previous scaffolding or construction transport experience is highly desirable but not essential
