MEP Design Engineer

Job Description – MEP Engineer (Interior Design / Fit-Out) Position: MEP Engineer Industry: Interior Design / Fit-Out Experience: 4+ Years Location: Chennai / Hyderabad About the Role We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Engineer to manage Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing activities for residential and commercial interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating MEP execution, ensuring technical accuracy, vendor management, site coordination, and timely project delivery as per design and quality standards. Roles & Responsibilities Handle complete MEP execution for interior fit-out projects.

Coordinate with Design, Project, Civil & Execution teams for smooth project delivery. Review MEP drawings, BOQs, layouts, and technical specifications. Ensure proper execution of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.

Conduct site inspections and monitor day-to-day MEP activities. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants for execution and material approvals. Ensure projects are executed as per safety standards, quality guidelines, and timelines.

Identify site challenges and provide technical solutions during execution. Track project progress and maintain MEP documentation & reports. Support procurement team in vendor evaluation and technical discussions.

Ensure all installations are aligned with design intent and client requirements. Work closely with project managers for handover and project closure activities. Required Skills Strong understanding of HVAC, Electrical & Plumbing systems.

Knowledge of interior fit-out execution and site coordination. Ability to read and understand MEP drawings & technical layouts. Experience in residential, commercial, or retail interior projects.

Good vendor management and coordination skills. Strong problem-solving and project execution capabilities. Knowledge of local authority standards and safety regulations preferred.

UAE experience preferred for Dubai-based roles. Preferred Candidate Profile Strong execution mindset with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in fast-paced interior fit-out environments.
