Job Description
Provide compassionate care as a Registered Nurse in Children’s Intensive Services. Focus on holistic nursing practices for children in mental health crisis, ensuring individualized support and treatment plans. This permanent, full-time role involves working within a rehabilitative setting for children under 13 years old.
As an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, the RN will apply current nursing theories and collaborate with families to promote adaptive living skills. Responsibilities also include medication administration, ongoing assessments, and care plan coordination tailored to each child's unique needs. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure comprehensive care for children under 13 • Administer and monitor medication responses • Collaborate on individualized care plans • Provide clinical direction to child care staff • Conduct holistic patient assessments and education Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required • Registered with Nova Scotia College of Nursing • Certification in Basic Life Support needed • One year psychiatric nursing experience required • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required Empower children through mental health support while maintaining flexibility to adapt within the team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
