The Roles

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking both Mechanical Engineers and Mechanical Design Engineers to support a range of engineering and product development programs.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions
• Produce technical documentation, reports, calculations, and specifications
• Support integration activities across multiple engineering disciplines
• Participate in testing, validation, and system verification activities
• Undertake root cause investigations and provide corrective actions
• Assist with engineering change management processes
• Support manufacturing and production teams with technical advice
• Contribute to risk assessments and engineering reviews
• Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
• Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements

• Mechanical engineering experience within complex manufacturing or vehicle environments
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience supporting testing and engineering investigations
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
• Australian Citizenship

Highly Regarded

• Systems integration experience
• Product lifecycle management exposure
• Configuration management experience
• Existing security clearance

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems, assemblies, and components using 3D CAD software
• Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Perform calculations, tolerance assessments, and material selection activities
• Develop designs that support manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability
• Support prototype build programs and design validation activities
• Participate in design reviews and optimisation workshops
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve design issues
• Maintain configuration control throughout the product lifecycle
• Ensure design compliance with technical and customer requirements
• Provide technical support during production and implementation phases

Essential Requirements

• Experience using CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or Inventor
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and BOMs
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Experience designing mechanical components or assemblies
• Knowledge of engineering documentation processes
• Australian Citizenship

Highly Regarded

• Vehicle or complex manufacturing design background
• Prototype development and testing experience
• Experience within configuration‑controlled environments
• Existing security clearance
