Mechanical Engineer – Direct Hire Work Arrangement: On-site, full-time Compensation: Open, commensurate with experience About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team in the design and fabrication of custom power distribution solutions, including E-Houses, switchgear, MCCs, and DC systems. This role offers the chance to take ownership of projects, work closely with manufacturing teams, and contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Design and model sheet metal parts using Autodesk Inventor (3D) and create 2D drawings in AutoCAD.
Provide engineering support to the shop floor, including laser nesting, bend drawings, and assembly/welding documentation for both standard and new projects. Participate in projects from initial concept through production, ensuring designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations.
Manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining high attention to detail. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 1-2+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience. Internship experience will be considered.
Experience with Autodesk Inventor (sheet metal) and AutoCAD. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment. Preferred / Bonus Qualifications Experience designing modular electrical enclosures, E-Houses, or similar systems.
Advanced skills in Autodesk Inventor (sheet metal) and AutoCAD. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
