Job Description Seeking an Optical Network Engineer to lead the build, implementation, and ongoing operations of a nationwide DWDM network, establishing scalable processes and ensuring long-term network reliability. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead DWDM network implementation, configuration, and turn‑up activities Develop MOPs, playbooks, and engineering documentation Perform site readiness assessments and coordinate issue resolution Execute optical channel commissioning and power optimization Support field teams remotely and on‑site during deployments Manage implementation milestones, risks, and stakeholder communication Integrate networks with management systems (e.g., WaveSuite) Conduct testing, validation, and post‑implementation documentation Transition networks into operations and support NOC onboarding Perform day‑2 operations including upgrades, monitoring, and optimization Act as SME for escalations and customer‑facing technical support Requirements Must‑Haves 5+ years of optical network implementation or operations experience 2+ years hands‑on experience with Nokia GX platforms Strong DWDM knowledge (EDFA, Raman, power budgets, wavelength commissioning) Solid understanding of OTN (framing, mapping, multiplexing) Experience writing and executing MOPs and cutover plans Experience with network management systems (e.g., WaveSuite) Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Willingness to travel for deployments Nice‑to‑Haves Nokia GX certifications or formal training Experience with Ciena or Nokia 1830 platforms Exposure to automation tools (Python, Ansible, CLI scripting) Experience in managed services or NOC environments #J-18808-Ljbffr
