MC Truck Driver

Force Transport is seeking an MC Driver to join our team in Tully, QLD 4854. As an MC Driver, you will be responsible for operating a prime mover and B double set of trailers to transport sugar products safely and efficiently across the local region, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and customer service. This role is crucial to our logistics operations and directly contributes to Force Transport's reputation for reliable delivery services.

Key responsibilities

• Operating a Prime Mover and B Double combination safely and in compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies
• Transporting sugar products to designated locations in a timely and professional manner
• Conducting pre-start vehicle inspections on the prime mover and trailer set to ensure mechanical safety and roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate logbooks and trip documentation as required by law and company procedures
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers and ensuring loads are correctly distributed and secured
• Loading and unloading cargo, or supervising loading operations to ensure goods are secured appropriately
• Communicating effectively with supervisor and other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle throughout shifts
• Reporting any vehicle defects, safety concerns or incidents promptly to management

About you

• Current and valid Multi-Combination (MC) Driver's Licence issued in Australia
• Proven experience operating a prime mover with B double trailers in commercial transport operations
• Experience carting bulk agricultural products will be highly regarded but not essential
• Knowledge of road safety and fatigue management legislation
• Ability to maintain accurate logbooks and documentation
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Reliability and flexibility to work casual hours as required
