Job Description

Company: Sanctuary Graduates & Apprenticeships.

Location: Norwich, Norfolk - 4 days in office with Fridays working from home.

Start Date: Immediate

Reports to: Head of Growth

About Sanctuary:

Sanctuary Graduates & Apprentices is a specialist early-careers recruitment and talent partner. We help leading employers attract, assess and hire graduates and apprentices through retained recruitment, RPO and targeted attraction services. We are an established, profitable SME with ambitious growth plans and a strong reputation for university reach, diversity and consultative delivery.

This is a hands‑on, commercially focused marketing role. The Marketing Lead will own Sanctuary’s email marketing engine—building campaigns, automated journeys and nurture programmes that generate engagement, meetings and pipeline for the commercial team. The role will also support content, website, webinars and sales enablement, but it is not primarily a broad brand-building or PR position.

Core Responsibilities

Email Marketing & Automation

  • Plan, write, build and deliver targeted B2B email campaigns across agreed client segments and ideal customer profiles.
  • Create and optimise automated nurture journeys based on prospect behaviour, content engagement, events and lifecycle stage.
  • Manage segmentation, data quality, testing, deliverability and campaign scheduling within the email platform and CRM.
  • Identify engaged and high-intent prospects, route them to sales and ensure follow-up activity is timely and measurable.
  • Track open, click, reply, meeting and conversion performance, using results to improve messaging and campaign effectiveness.
  • Build client retention, cross-sell and re‑engagement campaigns alongside new‑business prospecting activity.

Content & Campaign Delivery

  • Turn service propositions, case studies, events and insight into concise campaign content, landing pages and sales materials.
  • Maintain a practical content and campaign calendar aligned to commercial priorities, seasonal recruitment cycles and live opportunities.
  • Repurpose core content across email, website and LinkedIn without creating an unnecessarily heavy brand‑content program with working knowledge of Canva
  • Support webinars and selected events, including promotion, registration journeys, follow‑up and reuse of resulting content.

Website & Digital Support

  • Keep website copy, campaign pages, service pages and calls to action current and commercially effective.
  • Create and improve landing pages that support lead generation and campaign conversion.
  • Apply practical SEO and AI‑search principles so key content can be found, while using external specialists where required.
  • Maintain consistent, accurate messaging across email, website, presentations and other customer‑facing materials.

Commercial Partnership & Reporting

  • Work closely with the Head of Growth and sales team to understand target accounts, pipeline priorities, objections and required follow‑up.
  • Provide campaign assets that help sales open conversations and progress opportunities.
  • Report clearly on campaign activity, engagement, meetings generated, pipeline contribution and recommended next actions.
  • Continuously test and improve subject lines, copy, offers, calls to action, segmentation and campaign timing.
  • At least three years’ experience in B2B email marketing, demand generation, lifecycle marketing or a related hands‑on role.
  • Strong experience building email campaigns, automated workflows, nurture sequences, triggers and audience segments.
  • Confident copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex services into clear, persuasive commercial messaging.
  • Experience using an email marketing platform, CRM and campaign analytics to support sales activity and measure results.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns independently.
  • Commercial mindset: focused on engagement, meetings, pipeline and revenue—not activity for activity’s sake.
  • Experience in recruitment, professional services, SaaS or another longer‑sales‑cycle B2B environment.
  • Working knowledge of landing pages, CMS platforms, SEO, LinkedIn and webinar delivery.
  • Experience with marketing automation, lead scoring, sales hand‑off processes or data enrichment tools.
  • Basic design capability using Canva or similar tools.
  • Company events
  • Discounted food (30% off at The Rooftop Garden)
