Job Description
Position: Manufacturing Engineer Role Purpose The Manufacturing Engineer will support mechanical product development, manufacturing optimization, and engineering improvement activities by bridging design, simulation, and production requirements. The role will focus on developing new solutions, improving existing products, supporting customization requirements across product lines, and ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability, performance, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities Product Design & Development Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, enclosures, fixtures, and customized engineering solutions.
Create 3D CAD models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation. Support product modification, enhancement, and value engineering activities across different product lines. Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturing feasibility and assembly efficiency.
Simulation & Engineering Validation Perform structural, thermal, and fluid flow analysis using CAE tools. Support design validation through FEA/CFD simulations. Optimize designs based on performance, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.
Manufacturing & Process Support Provide engineering support for: Sheet metal fabrication Welding/fabrication processes Tooling, jigs & fixtures development Prototype manufacturing Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, and cost effectiveness. Prototype Development & Industrialization Coordinate prototype development, assembly, testing, and validation. Work with vendors and manufacturing teams for fabrication and production readiness.
Resolve manufacturing challenges during development and production stages. Product Customization & Improvement Support application-specific product modifications for different customer and brand requirements. Improve existing designs through material optimization, manufacturing feedback, and engineering analysis.
Contribute towards development of new mechanical solutions. Required Technical Competencies Mechanical Design: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo/NX Simulation: FEA, CFD, Thermal Analysis (ANSYS/COMSOL) Manufacturing: Sheet Metal, Fabrication, Tooling Engineering Practices: GD&T, BOM Creation, Material Selection, DFM/DFA Prototype Development & Vendor Coordination
