Industry Utilities Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Power Generation Development with a focus on utility-scale thermal generation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the entire project development process, from origination to commercial operation. This includes building and executing a portfolio strategy, identifying and advancing development opportunities, managing multiple workstreams, overseeing technology selection, and coordinating project economics. The role also involves leading negotiations for key commercial agreements and building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders in the energy sector. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in power generation, infrastructure, or energy project development, with a proven track record in utility-scale thermal generation and experience in battery energy storage project development. A strong understanding of interconnection processes, permitting, transmission planning, and project execution is essential. The role requires excellent commercial acumen, the ability to lead cross-functional teams, and experience in managing development budgets and schedules. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and executive presentation skills and be adept at mentoring and developing a project development organization.
