Job Description
Key Responsibilities Direct Taxation Review income tax computations and ensure timely filing of tax returns. Coordinate tax assessments, audits, and responses to notices from tax authorities. Manage transfer pricing documentation and liaise with external consultants and auditors.
Review TDS compliance, including deductions, payments, return filing, and reconciliations. Support preparation and filing of tax audit reports and related documentation. Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance.
Indirect Taxation (GST) Ensure timely filing of GST returns and statutory compliances. Coordinate GST audits and annual return filings. Review GST reconciliations and monitor input tax credit utilization.
Handle GST notices, assessments, and departmental correspondence. Support business teams on GST-related compliance matters. Customs & Foreign Trade Compliance Coordinate compliance related to Customs, DGFT, EPCG, and Advance Authorization schemes.
Monitor export incentive claims and fulfillment of export obligations. Liaise with consultants and authorities for customs and foreign trade matters. Ensure timely submission of documentation and regulatory filings.
Audit Management 1. Statutory Audit Coordinate statutory audit activities and provide required schedules and documentation. Resolve audit queries and ensure timely completion of audits.
Track closure of audit observations. 2. Tax Audit & Transfer Pricing Audit Coordinate with auditors and consultants for tax and transfer pricing audits. Ensure timely submission of information and completion of audit requirements. 3.
Internal Audit Coordinate internal audits and support implementation of audit recommendations. Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies. Track and report closure of audit observations.
Financial Reporting & Compliance Review intercompany reconciliations and supporting documentation. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities. Ensure timely and accurate compliance-related reporting.
Review accounting entries relating to taxation, provisions, and compliance matters. Team Management Lead and develop the Audit & Taxation team. Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
Ensure timely completion of compliance calendars and audit deliverables. Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications & Experience Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
CMA or equivalent professional qualification may be considered with relevant experience. 7โ10 years of experience in taxation, audit, compliance, and financial reporting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Income Tax, GST, Customs, and DGFT regulations. Technical & Behavioral Competencies SAP ERP proficiency.
