Title and Summary Manager, Product Manager Manager, Product Management Overview:

As a Product Manager on the SME team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to empower Small Businesses and Lower Mid-Market (LMM) businesses. This role focuses on partnering with the Director and SME leadership in crafting the product strategy while owning the ideation, research, and creation of enabling capabilities to unlock usage and spend for our customers, and ultimately bringing them to market, globally. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance tools that drive business growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director and stakeholders in shaping product strategy by providing insights and contributing to decision-making processes
  • Own ideation, research, and the development of enabling capabilities that drive increased usage by businesses and uptick in revenue for us and our Distribution Partners
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, design, marketing, legal and others to deliver innovative and user-friendly products.
  • Using the Working Backwards method, decomposes business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that drive the platform/product roadmap.
  • Partner with third-party service providers and technology vendors to ensure seamless integrations and value addition to the platform
  • Support go-to-market initiatives, including market research, product positioning, launch planning and product operations
  • Leverage data-driven insights to guide product development and enhance customer experience
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features
  • Design and conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, using data to drive continuous improvement
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide regular updates on product progress and performance

Skills/Abilities/Experience

  • Product management experience, with a proven track record of building launching, and scaling successful SaaS-based financial products and solutions.
  • Deep understanding of B2B commercial payments, including AP, AR, Virtual Cards, preferably have some experience with ERP systems, payment gateways, and payment automation solutions.
  • Focus on Small and/or Medium Business related software solutions
  • Strong ability to empathize with customer needs and develop customer-centric products
  • Experience in working with third-party vendors and technology partners
  • Demonstrated success in working effectively across cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.) in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with a focus on turning insights into actionable product improvements
  • Proficiency in product management tools such as Aha, JIRA, Confluence, or similar
  • Experience working with product development teams including Agile/Scrum planning, elaboration, retrospective and similar ceremonies
  • Experience working in partnership with technical project management teams to define and execute a plan, and to track success metrics closely.
