Job Description
The Manager of Risk Management supports the Director of Risk Management in overseeing the hospital's Patient Safety and Risk Management Program. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards while promoting a culture of safety and accountability. Key Responsibilities Support the Director in planning, implementing, and maintaining the Patient Safety and Risk Management Program.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. Monitor and evaluate risk management processes to identify and mitigate potential liabilities. Collaborate effectively with clinical staff, physicians, and administrative leaders to improve patient safety outcomes.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and promote continuous quality improvement throughout the organization. Prepare reports and documentation for internal reviews, licensing, and regulatory audits. Educate staff on patient safety principles, legal risk issues, and compliance protocols.
Maintain active knowledge of current Joint Commission Standards, CMS, and Client Regulations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required. One to three years of experience in healthcare risk management required.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work with clinical and medical staff at all levels.
Proficiency with personal computers and software applications. Thorough understanding of hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards. In-depth knowledge of risk management principles and healthcare compliance best practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
