Job Summary The Manager of EV Charging Network Development is responsible for leading and executing business development efforts related to Level 2 charging station growth, infrastructure deployment, and partnership opportunities.
This role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, developing and maintaining strategic relationships, structuring and closing deals, and helping drive expansion of the company's EV charging network. This individual will also provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the networks-focused business development team, ensuring alignment with company goals, market opportunities, and revenue growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of business development strategies for EV charging station growth and infrastructure deployment.
Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, site acquisitions, and strategic collaborations to expand the company's charging network. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, utility partners, municipalities, and vendors. Negotiate, structure, and close deals that drive network expansion and revenue growth.
Manage, mentor, and support the networks business development team in achieving individual and team goals. Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and adapt business development strategies accordingly. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to align on project feasibility, EV infrastructure deployment, and revenue modeling.
Represent the company externally with partners and stakeholders, communicating business priorities and network development objectives. Track and report on key performance indicators related to network growth, project acquisition, and revenue generation. Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance business development workflows and deal execution efficiency.
Required Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, account growth, or a related field. 2-3 years of leadership experience, including team management, coaching, or mentorship responsibilities. Proven ability to identify, structure, negotiate, and close strategic business deals. Strong knowledge of EV charging infrastructure, charging technologies, utility partnerships, and site acquisition.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce, and other business development tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and lead cross-functional initiatives. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Prior experience in EV infrastructure deployment, utility-driven programs, or related clean energy markets. Experience working with property owners, municipalities, and other external stakeholders involved in site development and infrastructure expansion. Background in scaling market-facing business development functions in a high-growth environment.
