Manager of Engineering and Projects - Stoney Creek (Ontario)

The Manager of Engineering and Projects reports to Ontario’s General Manager and manages all activities related to the Engineering & Projects team. He also plays a key role in collaborating with other design groups located in Boisbriand and Jonquiere in Quebec. What you’ll do: Lead project execution from the design phase through installation for major energy producers in Canada.

Plan, organize, structure and evaluate the activities of the Mechanical Engineering team (8 team members). Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and ensure compliance with the standards and regulations. Oversee project financial performance by conducting monthly reviews of the orders book, budget indicators, margins and operating costs, while ensuring projects are delivered within allocated budgets.

Coach, evaluate, supervise and coordinate the team. Act as a key technical resource for clients and employees. Facilitate or participate in project kick-off meetings and design reviews.

Oversee the resolution of technical issues. Act as the liaison between Québec and Ontario teams and maintain relationships between both groups. Ensure that mechanical engineering deliverables and project time budgets are met.

Anticipate potential problems, assess, risks, and implement mitigation plans. Coordinate with various teams to ensure the availability of technical resources. Collaborate closely and positively with clients on contract amendments and negotiations, as needed, to ensure profitable project management.
