Reporting to the Director, Nursing Professional Practice, you will use clinical knowledge, experience and leadership skills to promote quality care and utilization of best practices.

You will represent clinical and site administration during silent hours and focus on the facilitation and provision of quality care consistent with the organization’s current mission, values, policies and procedures, best practices, professional standards and legislations. Finally, you will need to be flexible to work at multiple sites, as needed. Required Undergraduate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with relevant undergraduate degree Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in nursing. Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Preferred Certification in gerontology, palliative care or rehabilitation.

Knowledge of and/or relevant experience in the areas of dialysis, ventilator. Fluent in French and English. What skills should I possess to succeed in the role?

Knowledge of adult learning principles / presentation skills Able to manage Human Resources CPR/AED training (reflect policy BCLS) Demonstrated effectiveness as a team member through collaboration, respect and effective communication Demonstrated effective management of resources consistent with organizational, programs and team goals Demonstrated effectiveness promoting compliance with professional and ethical practices, accreditation standards, and applicable legislation Demonstrated ability to establish courses of action for self and others to achieve optimal outcomes/results Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.
