Job Description

BDO Calgary Office is seeking a Manager to join the Assurance team and lead assurance and non‑assurance engagements for private and NPO organizations. Responsibilities Review assurance and non‑assurance engagements for private or NPO organizations to ensure that relevant professional standards and firm policies are followed. Effectively plan, supervise, and execute assurance and non‑assurance engagements.

Lead Assurance & Accounting projects, including the preparation of financial statements, due diligence procedures, capital‑raising services, and tax services provided to assurance and non‑assurance clients. Develop a portfolio of new clients and business opportunities with existing clients on an ongoing basis. Address client issues in a timely manner, following BDO policy and using strong technical skills and accounting experience.

Apply appropriate industry/business knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the client’s business. Qualifications & Experience Professional designation required (CA, CMA, CGA or CPA). 1+ year(s) of management experience in an accounting and/or assurance role. Bilingual proficiency is an asset.

In‑depth experience with ASPE or ASNPO files. Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Leadership skills with a focus on employee engagement.
