Management Accountant (SME)

This is a key appointment for a high-performing, growth-minded SME. You will join an established, close-knit, and hardworking finance team, working side-by-side with the business owners and Board of Directors to shape financial strategy and commercial direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Management Accounts: Drive the full monthly production of management accounts, complete with commercial commentary and variance analysis.

• Board & Strategic Advisory: Partner directly with the Board of Directors to deliver actionable commercial insights that support business growth.

• Financial Planning & Control:Manage the annual budgeting process, maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, and monitor financial KPIs.

• Systems & Process Improvement: Review internal controls and implement modern financial processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Commercial Support: Assist operational managers with costing, margin analysis, and business case evaluations.

What We Are Looking For

• SME Experience: Strong track record operating as a Management Accountant within an SME setting.

• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modelling, data analysis) and experience improving accounting systems.

• Qualifications:ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified or finalist. Candidates who are Qualified by Experience (QBE) with solid SME exposure are fully encouraged to apply.

• Communication: Exceptional presentation skills with the confidence to translate complex numbers into clear strategic narratives for non-finance Directors.
