About the Company

A fast-scaling technology business, winning new clients at pace and building out the infrastructure needed to support that growth. This is a business on a genuinely strong upward trajectory, and this role has been newly created to support it, not a backfill.

The Role

This is a genuinely hands-on role for a newly qualified accountant, with direct exposure to the C-suite. Reporting to the COO, you'll take ownership of month-end and year-end close and lead the preparation of board-level reporting. It's a strong fit for someone trained in either practice or industry who wants real technical ownership early in their career, working inside a fast-scaling tech business.

Given the pace of growth, the client is looking to have someone in place as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End:

  • Lead the full month-end close process with complete ownership from start to finish
  • Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain and strengthen financial controls across the business
  • Lead the year-end process and act as primary liaison with external auditors
  • Prepare year-end statutory reporting and supporting schedules
  • Ensure a smooth, well-documented year-end audit process
  • Prepare monthly board reporting packs with clear, meaningful commentary
  • Support variance analysis against budget and forecast for board-level reporting
  • Present financial performance and key metrics in a clear, board-ready format

The Person

  • Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience preparing management accounts, ideally end-to-end
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid grip on financial controls
  • Confident reporting to and presenting for senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment

What's On Offer

  • £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, 2 days per week in Belfast city centre office
  • Immediate start available
  • Exclusive to OCHO
