Role Description
The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role located at Vita-Pakt's production facility in Lindsay, CA. This role is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment to support safe, efficient, and continuous operations. Daily tasks include inspecting machinery, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, and carrying out preventive maintenance schedules.
The Maintenance Technician will also collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime, maintain maintenance records, and follow safety and food safety protocols in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The role may involve working with tools, parts, and equipment in a manufacturing environment and responding to urgent equipment failures as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong equipment maintenance and industrial maintenance skills for production and processing environments.
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, including diagnosing root causes of equipment failures.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and maintenance & repair procedures to support reliable operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Understanding of safety standards, including OSHA requirements, and willingness to follow food safety and GMP guidelines.
- Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing, food processing, or industrial settings preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Lindsay, CA, including occasional overtime, weekends, or shift work as production needs require.
